Hi anon ! (you’re the second anon I’ve ever received, I love you <3)
I mixed two prompts for this, hope you don’t mind! 💕 thanks for asking! 😘
5) ‘’are you seriously going to do it ?’’ “ what do I have to lose?”
11) “if you do this, you understand you’ll never be able to go home again, yes?”
——
“Are you seriously going to do it?” Can asks. Even through the phone, Tin can tell he’s worried, and a rush of fondness males him smile.
“What do I have to lose, Can?” Tin replies flatly. It’s been a long time since he considered the people he lives with his family. He cannot lose something he doesn’t have, and he knows he’s never had their love, or respect, or whatever could pass as familial affection.
“If you do this, you understand you’ll never be able to go home again, yes?” Can insists, and it’s touching that Can still thinks there’s some hope left. To be fair, Tin has only told him about his brother. There’s things Can doesn’t know yet, things Tin will probably tell him someday, but that he can’t quite bring himself to face yet.
“Can, this house has not been home to me for a long time. This is not what a family is supposed to be, and now that I’ve seen yours, I can’t bear the sight of mine anymore.”
Can stays silent for a moment, so Tin knows he’s carefully crafting his next words, reigning in his most impulsive words. He appreciates the effort.
“You’re doing it now? Do you want me to come?” Can finally asks, and Tin grins.
“I’m putting my last bag into the car right now. Is it still okay if I come to your house?”
“Yes, yes, of course, come right away, why do even need to ask?” Can nearly shouts into his ear, and Tin has to hold his phone at arm’s length.
Tin takes a final look into his – former – room, making sure he hasn’t forgotten any of the boxes he carefully put together earlier in the day. All the belongings he wants to keep are in his car, so he closes the door of what was his bedroom for the last time.
Half an hour later, Tin parks in front of Can’s house. Can, his sister and his mother are there, waiting for him on the sidewalk. He’s not even all of the way out of the car when he gets an armful of Can, his boyfriend hugging him as hard as he can.
“Welcome home,” Can says.
