Spooky Watercolor And Ink Cats Flowing Onto Canvas By Endre Penovác

The cat is the internet’s favorite animal, and Endre Penovác, an artist in
Hungary, likes painting (among other things) translucent watercolor
kitties. It’s a match made in Heaven! Or perhaps not exactly heaven –
his heavily diluted watercolor pigments and black ink make for cats
that,
though fuzzy, are also ghostly and dark. Some of these kitties seem to
lack substance, as if they’re fading in or out of existence.

If there’s any artist that can paint Mr. Schrodinger’s famous cat, this is the man.

You need a rest. You need empty moments in which you tolerate your anxiety and circling thoughts until they slow down and stop circling. You need slow, quiet activities that ground you and remind you to accept yourself in spite of huge obstacles and bad thoughts. You need to put solutions out of your mind for now, and engage in activities that have nothing to do with your ego. You need habits that strengthen your patience and focus, but also feel real and not arbitrary. You need to abandon your glorious future and build your imperfect present instead.

I don’t think there’s an applause gif big enough to properly convey my reaction to this.

Also, I love that if anyone tries to say that you’re just “another hack fic writer with no ideas of her own who is jealous of the “real” writers out there”, they could quite literally be crushed under your catalog of award-winning original writing as a response. They can’t dismiss your stance on this topic the way they do to so many unpublished / fanfic writers because you’ve already met all of the standards that they insist someone has before they’ll accept their opinion as worth listening to.
