Show me what you’ve learned, Detective.
This scene is my everything, holy shit. I died and came back and died again.
The first African American woman to have her poems
published, Phillis Wheatley gained fame and ultimately her freedom through her
writings. Despite her status as a slave, Wheatley was taught how to read and
write, and by the age of 12 was able to translate classic Greek and Latin
texts. Following the publication of her book, Poems on
Subjects Religious and Moral, in 1773, the Wheatley
family emancipated Phillis. The frontispiece of the first edition features an
illustration by African American artist Scipio Moorhead, depicting Wheatley in
a scholarly pose: a rebuttal to the claims that a slave woman could not have
written such poems. Come by the RBML to see the first edition of Poems on Subjects Religious and Moral, which was bound with Alexander Pope’s Essay on Man. Phillis
Wheatley died on December 5, 1784.Phillis Wheatley. Poems on

a real ass guide to life
there’s a lot of shit on here about lighting candles and waking up early to see the sunset and if we are being hella honest, no one actually does that. u probably don’t own candles or if u do there in a closet and the only time you wake up early all year round is never. so here’s a guide to actual human beings.
-wake up when you need to. don’t wake up at 5 to “journal” and “meditate.” sleep is more important. if you have a class at 9, wake up at 8. it’s simple.
– eat something. it doesn’t have to be avocado toast. just have a bagel or a bowl of cocoa puffs.
– have ur meds if u take any
– attempt to look nice. at least brush your hair and your teeth. but honestly no one cares how u dress. if you wanna dress like a stripper, then dress like a goddamn stripper. honestly no one cares. (but if ur in hs try to follow the dress code a little bit?)
– wear makeup if u want, or if you don’t then don’t.
– ur probably not gonna exercise or stretch. who cares. i dont. your friends don’t. if ur feeling up to it then go jog 4 miles, but if ur not then don’t.
– actually try to have a plan of what ur doing for that day. attend ur classes, and do ur work. ur education is hella important. FUCKING DO IT. kill those grades, murder everyone else in that class, impress and surprise ur teacher, parents, and everyone else who thought u couldn’t do it
– attempt to be social. make plans with friends and try to go. it can be lowkey and only like an hr. eat pizza or go to a bar. just have fun.
– eat healthy. eat a hamburger when u really want a hamburger and eat a large pizza when u really want a large pizza but try ur hardest to eat healthyish.
– watch ya shows. who doesn’t love some amazing netflix binges? watch it. do it.
– actually read. books are honestly the best. at least try to pick up the first harry potter.
– go to sleep before 2AM!!!!!!¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ sleep is hella important.
– shower. you don’t need to buy expensive bath bombs or candles and have a fancy bath and coat ur skin in so much lotion that you are a walking wet rag, but try to smell somewhat pleasant.
– do what u want. just make sure it’s legal. have sex, travel, learn how to code, be with ur family, have a family, marry someone nice, build an empire, be fierce, be strong, but most of all: be happy. you live once on this planet. live it to the fullest. and don’t let ANYONE bring you down. not a girl, not a guy, not a parent, or a so called friend. keep your standards high, and heels higher.
Don’t ever hesitate. Reblog this. TUMBLR RULE. When you see it, REBLOG IT.

bisexual women appreciation post 💗💜💙
This might be silly, but do you have any au headcannons for AePete in prison. I was reading another story and could totally envision Ae protecting Pete in prison, even if I couldnt actually see them ending up there in the first place haha
This is an interesting headcanon request! I can’t imagine them spending that much time in prison but I’ll try.
- Ae would be in prison because he almost beat someone to death for hurting Nong Yim. He almost got put in jail for this in the series (but because Pete was assaulted) so it’s not that much of a stretch.
- Pete would be in prison because Trump framed him for a financial crime and then fled the country.
- The reason I don’t see Pete being there long is because he’s too delicate. It would break his spirit to be in such a violent hyper masculine place for a long period of time. I also think that his Mother would pay to have him released considering the fact that they’re very wealthy and Thailand has a corruption problem.
- By the time Pete arrives, Ae has been there for six months and he’s used to it already. When he first gets there people thinks it’ll be easy to mess with him because he’s short, but they get clued in pretty quick when he breaks someone’s arm for trying to touch him in the showers.
- Pete gets assigned to be Ae’s cell mate and he’s terrified. Not just because it’s prison but because the guards make jokes about how Ae’s going to ‘tear him apart’ and other crude things that Pete doesn’t understand.
- When Ae sees Pete for the first time, his hackles immediately rise. A mistake, is the first thing he thinks. There’s no way someone as fragile as this man could have done anything to deserve to be in here. Pete just makes his assessment worse when he flinches and shakes at the sound of the gate being closed.
- The first night, Pete cries. It happens to everyone but Ae still lies there, tense, as he listens to Pete cry into his sheets. It sounds like the cries of a child, not a man. It makes him want to comfort him. He can’t stand it so he bangs the bed and asks Pete if he can stop.
- Pete’s crying just gets louder at the sound, and it makes Ae feel worse. Pete says he’s sorry, but he’ll try. His cries get quieter because he covers his mouth, but they’re just as intense.
- Ae gets down and climbs into bed with Pete. That stops Pete’s tears but only because he’s so scared of what Ae is going to do. But all he does is stroke Pete’s hair, the way he used to do to Nong Yim. It’s so gentle, it surprises Pete into rolling over so he’s facing Ae. This close, Ae can see just how pretty Pete really is, even with his eyes full of tears. Someone else will definitely try to take him once they’re released in the morning, and for some reason the thought makes Ae furious.
- Pete says, “Thank you. I’m sorry for being annoying,” because he is thankful. This is the first kindness anyone has shown him since he got there. Ae can’t stop himself from pinching Pete’s cheeks because of how cute his voice is. He tells Pete, “If you’re sorry then stop crying and go to sleep now.”
- When they’re released in the morning for breakfast, Ae keeps a close eye on Pete. He walks too slow and gets yelled at and Ae has to stop himself from fighting the guard. He’s even slower getting breakfast and gets shoved out of line by other inmates. Ae leads Pete by the waist to sit at the lone table he usually sits at when he sees him standing there like he doesn’t know what to do. He knows what it looks like to the others, and he’s fine with it. If they think Pete belongs to him then no one will bother him. He ignores the fact that he actually wants Pete to belong to him, because he’s not that kind of man.
- Ae gets twice as much food because he eats so much so he gives it to Pete, and then a little more. The food is complete crap and someone as thin as Pete can’t afford to lose anymore weight.
- Without thinking about, Pete falls under Ae’s protection. He’s never protected anybody in there because no one has ever deserved it. Most of the men in there are disgusting, but Pete is so innocent and pure, Ae wants to keep him that way.
- One night when they’re sleeping, Ae asks Pete why he’s in there. Pete hesitates before saying, ‘My ex-boyfriend framed me for money laundering.” It’s not the crime he’s scared to say, but the boyfriend part. Ae feels a mixture of emotions. His sees red at the fact that Pete was framed but also at the fact that he had a boyfriend.
- Pete asks, “Does Ae hate me? Now that you know?” Ae’s confused so Pete clarifies and says, “I’m gay.” Ae says he could never hate Pete. He just hates his boyfriend for doing that to him. What he doesn’t say is, he hates the fact that Pete’s ex-boyfriend has been inside him, but all Ae can do is hold him.
- Ae spoons Pete every night. Pete’s blankets are thin compared to what he’s used to at home, and Ae’s warm bulk is comforting. Ae wants to keep Pete warm, but it’s also because he doesn’t feel like Pete is safe if Ae’s not holding him.
- Pete ends up getting released after two months when his Mother is able to gather enough money from all of her accounts to get him out. It’s a quiet thing, because it’s all under the table.
- Pete is curled up in Ae’s arms when someone comes to get him in the middle of the night and just drags him out. Ae almost fights the guards because he wants to know where Pete is being taken but no one will tell him anything.
- Pete doesn’t understand what’s going on either and just keeps crying, which makes Ae even more panicked.
- Pete only realizes what’s going on when he’s taken to holding and they give him the clothes he came in. Within an hour, he’s in his Mother’s arms being driven back home.
- Pete feels lost back in the real world, after two months of basically living in a bottle. It doesn’t feel right, to not have a schedule or a routine. He can just sleep for hours at home and no one will come to drag him out of bed. He can shower for an hour in complete privacy. He can even eat as much as wants. But the biggest thing he has to get used to is being without Ae. He sleeps for 14 hours the first night he’s back in his own bed but after that it’s hard, because he doesn’t have Ae’s warmth at his back.
- Pete’s reluctant to talk about anything that happened while he was in there because he doesn’t want to make his Mother upset, but she’s the one who wants to know everything. It’s actually worse to her that Pete won’t talk because it just makes her assume the worst. Pete finally tells her everything when she starts quietly crying while they’re having one of many silent breakfasts.
- He tells her about everything, skimming over the ugly parts, but most of his stories are about Ae. About how he was kind to him and became his protector while he was there. He doesn’t think he would still be the same Pete, if Ae wasn’t there to keep him safe. By the time he’s finished, Pete is the one whose crying because he hasn’t talked about Ae to anyone. Sharing it with his Mother makes it feel more real.
- After hearing about how Ae protected her son, Pete’s Mother decides to repay the favour. A life for a life seems like a fair trade, so without telling Pete, she pays off officials to have Ae released early. The only reason she doesn’t tell Pete is because she doesn’t want to put pressure on Ae. If he wants to see Pete again, then he will. If he just wants to live his life then that’s fine too.
- Ae goes to meet Pete within the week. Pete’s started attending some classes part-time at the University to get used to studying again, before planning to go as a full-time student the next semester. He’s walking to his car when he sees Ae and he thinks he’s hallucinating. But despite how many times he blinks and pinches himself, Ae is standing right there. It’s the first time Pete’s seen him in normal clothes, and he looks so handsome Pete can barely look at him.
- All Ae has to say is, “Pete-” before Pete throws himself into his arms. He never thought he’d see Ae again so he holds on to him like he could disappear at any moment. Ae holds him back tighter than that, and it feels exactly the same as it did all those nights where Ae held him.
- When they finally pull away, Ae says, “You look good. Just how I expected you’d look out here, a proper Koon-Chai.” Pete quickly says, “Ae looks good too.” before blushing bright red. Ae’s just wearing a T-shirt and jeans, but he’s still the most handsome man in Pete’s eyes.
WOW. Just.. wow.
TINCAN oneshot (Nervous)
I’m really in the mood for TinCan fix-it. Here is another.
I blame @andwebegin 😛
Sort inspired by the locker room scene
Enjoy 🙂
Can reached out and took hold of Tin’s tie, wrapping it around his hand to reel him in and tug his face down. Tin let himself be moved, his gaze intent. Can kept tugging and Tin kept closing the distance and eventually Can ended up with his back against the locker’s and Tin looming over him.
“I’m going to kiss you.”
Tin had never warned him before. All of their previous kisses had been unannounced and varying degrees of unexpected. Can had been stiff and startled each time. This time his chin was tilted up and he was ready. The feeling of anticipation was so strong for Can that he was starting to purse his lips before Tin was even kissing him.
“Do it then,” he challenged.
While the NSFW ban hurts marginalized folks looking to make a livelihood, or those just wanting get off, other legitimately harmful and hateful content continues to exist on the platform. A quick Tumblr search for the term “Nazi” brings up dozens of blogs run by fascists. In essence, Tumblr is sending a dangerous message to the world: Nazism isn’t as offensive as sex workers. Nazism isn’t as offensive as kink. Nazism isn’t as offensive as queer erotic art.
