A TinCan fix-it
For the fantastic @andwebegin
Can sighed softly. In the months since he’d pushed Tin away, the other young man had never been far from his thoughts. He didn’t regret it exactly, he hadn’t been ready for what Tin wanted in that moment. But it didn’t mean that Can didn’t miss Tin. Yet he knew he’d hurt him badly and was wary about exacerbating that by trying for a friendship when Tin was still so obviously wounded.
He saw him around campus sometimes. Tin was never rude, he always nodded or raised a hand in greeting. But each time they passed each other like little more than acquaintances, Can felt like something was wrapped around his heart and squeezing it so tightly that it was difficult to breath.
Desperate for advice, Can sought out the only person in his social circle who was discrete, rational, and even tempered. He found ChaAim in the library and rushed over to her in such a panic that he tripped over his own feet and slammed his palms down on the library table, shaking it badly and startling all the occupants.
“Can, are you okay?” ChaAim asked.
“ChaAim, do you know him?” One of the other girls asked worriedly.
“We’re friends,” ChaAim reassured her friend. “Can?”
“I need your advice!” He blurted loudly enough that the few people who had stopped staring turned back to look at him again.

33-“Don’t you ever do that again! You scared the shit out of me!”
There you anon ❤ again sorry for the delay, i’ll try to do one a day but no promises 😩
———————-
As soon as Tin steps into the apartment, Can launches himself from the couch into Tin’s arms, holding onto him as if Tin could fade away at any moment.
Tin’s arms come up slowly to wrap around Can. He holds Can’s neck, rubbing soothing circles with his thumb, soothing him in silence for a minute. He doesn’t know what’s happening with Can, but he clearly needs some hugs, and who is Tin to deny him? Besides, he’s been thinking of Can the whole time he was stuck in traffic hell and finally being home with an armful of his boyfriend is as close to heaven as he can get today.
“Cantaloupe… ?” Tin asks softly. “What’s going on?”
“Don’t you ever do that again! You scared the shit out of me!” Can mumbles into Tin’s collar, hiw words muffled as his lips press against Tin.
“You’re two hours later than usual, and you didn’t answer your phone, and Pete didn’t know where you were either, and there’s no one else I can call when you don’t answer, and I was worried, okay?” Can continues, all in one breath.
“Oh, Can,” Tin sighs, exhausted by the traffic jam, sorry for making Can worry, and somehow secretly happy that he does worry about him at all. “There was an accident on the road and I got stuck in traffic, and my phone was dead even before I left campus.”
“You could have charged it in your car then,” Can says with a pout, still not letting Tin go.
“Maybe, if someone hadn’t borrowed my USB port weeks ago and never gave it back,” Tin says, nudging Can playfully.
“…Okay, fair. But still! I was worried! I thought you got mugged and I was this close to calling the police to look for you,” Can says.
Tin laughs softly and kisses Can’s forehead in answer. He’s glad he’s home.
Any number tincan 💕💕

Hi anon ! (you’re the second anon I’ve ever received, I love you <3)
I mixed two prompts for this, hope you don’t mind! 💕 thanks for asking! 😘
5) ‘’are you seriously going to do it ?’’ “ what do I have to lose?”
11) “if you do this, you understand you’ll never be able to go home again, yes?”
——
“Are you seriously going to do it?” Can asks. Even through the phone, Tin can tell he’s worried, and a rush of fondness males him smile.
“What do I have to lose, Can?” Tin replies flatly. It’s been a long time since he considered the people he lives with his family. He cannot lose something he doesn’t have, and he knows he’s never had their love, or respect, or whatever could pass as familial affection.
“If you do this, you understand you’ll never be able to go home again, yes?” Can insists, and it’s touching that Can still thinks there’s some hope left. To be fair, Tin has only told him about his brother. There’s things Can doesn’t know yet, things Tin will probably tell him someday, but that he can’t quite bring himself to face yet.
“Can, this house has not been home to me for a long time. This is not what a family is supposed to be, and now that I’ve seen yours, I can’t bear the sight of mine anymore.”
Can stays silent for a moment, so Tin knows he’s carefully crafting his next words, reigning in his most impulsive words. He appreciates the effort.
“You’re doing it now? Do you want me to come?” Can finally asks, and Tin grins.
“I’m putting my last bag into the car right now. Is it still okay if I come to your house?”
“Yes, yes, of course, come right away, why do even need to ask?” Can nearly shouts into his ear, and Tin has to hold his phone at arm’s length.
Tin takes a final look into his – former – room, making sure he hasn’t forgotten any of the boxes he carefully put together earlier in the day. All the belongings he wants to keep are in his car, so he closes the door of what was his bedroom for the last time.
Half an hour later, Tin parks in front of Can’s house. Can, his sister and his mother are there, waiting for him on the sidewalk. He’s not even all of the way out of the car when he gets an armful of Can, his boyfriend hugging him as hard as he can.
“Welcome home,” Can says.
— we’re playing a dangerous game | m.a.w
It was just supposed to be a silly little game. Pond had invited everyone over and so Ae invited Pete who invited Tin despite Can’s adamant refusal.
They had been circling each other, Tin trying and trying to get Can to say yes, to date him, to let him in, and Can was too frightened. Tin had been intense before in their hate and fights, but now when Tin was so focused on making Can love him, Can could feel that pressure on his shoulders all over again.
And Can didn’t want to keep turning Tin away. He wanted to give in, to let himself have this, but how could Can know this wasn’t a game for Tin?
When Pond suggested Truth or Dare, Can latched onto the chance. Sure it was a game, but even rich people had to honor the sanctity of Truth or Dare, right?
So when it was Can’s turn to spin, his hopes were answered and it pointed at Tin.
“Truth or Dare, Ai Tin.”
Tin looked directly into Can’s eyes. “Which one do you want me to pick?”
“Tell me the truth.”
Tin huffed. “Ask your question.”
“Do you love me?”
Tin looked around at the people surrounding them and Can wondered if this was it, if Tin didn’t have the courage, the real emotion to say what he kept on saying between only them. But then Tin looked into Can’s eyes again, gave him that small soft smile and said, “I love you.”
The rest of their friends started a ruckus shouts and whispers and laughter. Can heard none of it, but felt his heart was going to beat out of his chest. His mind whirling through a million thoughts and a billion emotions. He didn’t realize when it was Tin’s turn that the bottle was pointing to him.
“Truth or Dare, Can,” Tin asked.
Can didn’t even blink. “Dare.”
“I dare you to love me too.”
Can reached across and pulled Tin into a kiss. It was awkward and clumsy and Can moved his lips too much, but Tin reciprocated anyway, slowly moving the kiss to less frantic motions. The cheers of their friends were wild, although Can could vaguely hear Ae shouting threats about what would happen if Tin mistreated him. When they pulled apart for air, Can could feel relief flood through his system.
“I already do,” Can whispered.
Tin kissed Can’s forehead and smiled.
