Summary: Tin kissed Can to shut him up. It was supposed to be a one time thing.

But things quickly escalated after that.Because of course they would.

Excerpt:

“Oh, wait,” Pete offers his phone to Tin. “Can wants to talk to you.”

“Hey,” Tin greets him.

“Oy, Ai Tin, why are you asking my friends about me ?”

“It’s not like I have your number to talk to you directly,” Tin replies in an annoyed tone.

“Ugh, right,” Can grumbles. “What do you want?”

“Don’t eat anything and wait for me.”

“Why would I do that?”

“Because,” Tin starts in an exasperated voice. “I’m gonna take you to eat sushi.”

There’s silence at the other side of the line.

“Why?”

Tin sighs, silently begging for patience to any deity that could be listening to him. “Remember you told me I should take responsibility for being an asshole? This is me taking it. Or do you prefer canteen food?”

“Ai Tin, don’t be mean,” Can says, prolonging the last word as he usually does when he’s around his friends.

Who in your OTP asks the weird questions in the middle of the night and who hits the other in the face with a pillow

now that’s easy. firstly, tin would never ever hit can, not even with a pillow. so is probably tin that wake can up in the middle of the night to ask him things like “can, do you love me?” because he always needs this much of reassurance. the answer is a “im trying to sleep, ai asshole!” and a pillow hitting his face. but can would always cuddle him anyways and that’s enough for tin.

Okay, I like this, but consider the following.

Can wakes up Tin because his mind is buzzing with something he saw earlier that day during class or on TV and he’s just like, “Ai Tin, Ai Tin, Ai Tin, do you think it’s weird that ducks have corkscrew penises because the females have convoluted vaginas to prevent mating?” Tin wouldn’t hit Can, but he’d bury his head under the pillow and beg for death because his class is early in the morning and in English, please understand that Can.

Tin wakes up Can because he wants reassurance or he wants to banter because Can woke up him last night damn it and tonight he will have vengeance. “Can, Can, Can, do you love me?” WHAP! “Go the fuck to sleep!” “Can, Can, Can, your eyes are the color of chocolate and your skin is sweeter than candy.” “I swear to every deity out there Tin…” “Can, Can, Can, do you fall more in love with me every day? I fall more in love with you every day.” “Your face is about to fall onto my fist!”

I just watched the new ep and,, TinCan is the cutest! Every time Tin looked at Can he looked like he wanted to kiss him so bad. And now I’m just imagining the first time Can looks at Tin that way, like probably Can is walking around campus and happens to see Tin doing some essay on his laptop and he looks so out of this world that Can just want to kiss Tin’s jaw and the mole on his neck and his cheeks and bc it’s Can and sometimes he runs on pure instinct, he walks toward Tin,hugshimandkisseshim

OMFG ANON, THAT’S ONE OF THE BEST HEADCANONS I’VE HEARD TODAY? THANK YOU
SFM

FOR THIS.

I stan the day when Can will come to terms with his feelings. Also, considering how energetic he is and how much he relies on skinship to convey his emotions, I feel like he will soon swoop in to gift Tin with lotsa cuddles and kisses (no matter where they are).

I don’t think the drama will touch much on TinCan falling in love and being adorable with each other so I can only rely on the fandom’s fictions and headcanons. You guys better don’t stop anytime soon, okay? I need time to move on and I desperately need the support.

@andwebegin

It happens on a Thursday of all days.

Can walks by the IC Building, grumbling because for all his demands about replying within an hour, sometimes Tin is incredibly shitty about replying to Can’s texts. So Can has taken it upon himself to find the asshole and drag him to that lunch he promised.

It’s a surprisingly comfortable day out and Can is not surprised to find Tin enjoying the fresh air, typing away at something.

He is surprised to find Tin’s collar a little undone and his tie a little loose. The sunlight peeking through the branches of the tree Tin sits under makes his highlights brighter and his eyes softer. Whatever Tin is staring at makes him smile softly suddenly and Can feels a surge of emotion overwhelm him.

It’s actually been days since Can saw Tin, since Tin asked him to have lunch and something seems to click into place. A feeling of the right thought at the right moment.

Can rushes forward and throws himself into Tin’s side. Tin seems defensive for a moment before he recognizes the mop of hair and puts his arm around Can.

“Oi, what’s this? You can’t be that excited to see me.”

Can doesn’t reply verbally first. Instead he presses a delicate kiss to Tin’s cheek. “But… I missed you, Ai Tin.”

Tin blinks in surprise. Can realizes how charming it is when Tin is thrown off his guard and swears to do it more often. He kisses Tin once more, aiming for the mole on his neck which makes Tin shiver.

“Did you get drunk? I have to work so hard to even get one proper kiss from you and now you’ve given me two.” Tin presses a hand to Can’s forehead. “Are you feeling okay?”

Can smacks Tin’s hand away. “If you don’t like it, I’ll stop.”

“NO!” Tin startles himself with his outburst before collecting himself. “I like it, I just-”

“I just realized that I honestly missed you, Ai Tin. I think… I think I really like you.”

A blush spreads across Tin’s cheeks and Can feels that delightfully charming feeling again spreading from his heart. He kisses the blush blooming on Tin’s cheeks and watches it darken.

“Stop that,” Tin mutters, feeling his face burn.

“You can dish it but you can’t take it hmm?”

“I’ll show you taking it.” Tin pulls Can in and kisses him on the lips. Despite the warmth coming from Tin’s face, Can can feel his own face heat up as well. “Now who’s blushing?”

“Both of us you dummy.”

Tin scrunches up his nose in distaste and Can laughs. Maybe this really will work out between them after all.

prompt 95 for @somewhatavidreader “Why’d you hug him? You love him?” with Tincan

(thanks for telling me your ask got vored 😂)

_______________________

“Care to explain what the hell just happened, Can?” Ae asks, face carefully blank, his anger only showing in the rigid set of his jaw he can never quite control. Tin’s silhouette has already disappeared behind the corner of the building, thank fuck, because Can is so not ready to deal with both a) an angry Ae and b) this new, soft and mellowed-out Tin that somehow wants to date him.

“…No?” Can says, running a hand through his hair. There is no hetero explanation for what happened, and he hasn’t quite finished his coming-out to himself, so he’ll pass on that one, thank you.

“Why’d you hug him? You love him?” Ae presses on, and his eyelid is twitching, which has never been a good sign in Can’s long experience with his short-tempered friend.

“No!” Can denies, shaking his head forcefully. Not yet, anyway, his mind supplies very unhelpfully. “It was just a hug, what’s the big deal?” he tries to deflect.

“The big deal is that this asshole wanted to make Pete break up with me, that’s the big deal, Can!” Ae explodes. “Stop being nice to him, he doesn’t deserve it.”

“Ae, you’re my friend and I stood up to Tin when he was an asshole to you, but now he’s my friend too and you can’t stop me from hugging him if I want to! Tin deserves all the hugs, and it looks like I’m the only one that wants to give them, so let me do what I want!”

Can’s eye is drawn by a white blurry movement behind Ae when he’s done with his outburst, and he freezes. Tin is standing behind Ae, and by his deer in headlights look he probably heard all of Can’s words.

“Why are you defending him? Are you his boyfriend now?” Ae asks scornfully.

Can’s gaze locks with Tin’s, above Ae’s shoulder. He parts his lips on a inaudible breath, caught up in Tin’s openly vulnerable expression.

Can nods slowly, and he doesn’t care about the pain in his shoulder when Ae bumps hard into him as he leaves, disgusted.

Tin doesn’t move, frozen, and Can steps forward, opening his arms to gather Tin in his embrace as soon as he reaches him.

“Did you mean all that?” Tin asks carefully, and Can hugs him tighter in answer.

Thank you! 💕 This is softer than I expected. It’s now canon that Can would rather deal with angry Ae, and his own insecurities, than deny Tin the hugs and reassurance he deserves.

So… not to sound greedy (who am I kidding) but how many of these am I allowed to send? 😁

It sounds corny and vague. People always talk about feeling safe with someone and you wonder what it even means. I still don’t really know. All I know is that when I’m with you, I feel like I’m clutching a giant thing of pepper spray or reliving a moment of being carried to bed by my parents when I was five years old and fell asleep in front of the television. — Ryan O’Connell

@andwebegin

It is a certain kind of fear, a certain kind of betrayal, that takes a kind and open man and turns him distant and cold. It takes the heart out of the man and beats it until nothing but bruises and broken blood vessels remain and all the earnestness is replaced with dread.

Every extended hand could be followed by rough fists.

Every smile could hide mocking laughter.

Every invitation could be false.

Every person could be another abuser, another mistake.

And so Tin learned after Tul to never let anyone so close that he could be hurt again. Tin’s lack of trust wasn’t entirely from disdain for the poor but Tin’s decision to never trust was born out of fear.

But Can ended up different, felt different, was different from every person Tin had ever kept at arm’s length. Can was straightforward and obvious. There was no chance Can would lie because there was no reason for him to.

Even when he was mad, Can vocalized every thought and emotion.

And Tin couldn’t help himself. No matter how annoyed or angry he was at Can, there was always a small part of him that whispered, “But we are safe here. Can will not lie to you about how he feels. You will know because he will tell you everything.”

That part of Tin only grew louder and louder the more he got to know Can, the more Tin fell for Can. On their first proper date, the voice urged Tin to tell Can the truth, to tell him the whole story. Tin did, realizing it was safe to do so, that Can would listen and believe him.

The feeling of relief was overwhelming afterwards.

And soon it was not just relief or love that Tin felt. It was trust and safety too.

Tin’s mask of cold indifference was almost painful to put on now, but whenever Can was around, it was okay to let the mask slip. To be the person Tin wanted to be, to allow people, to allow Can in.

Can could see it, could visibly tell that with just his hand in Tin’s, the walls were falling. Tin’s shoulders didn’t look so stiff, his eyes were warmer, and his words weren’t so cutting. With Can at his side, Tin felt safe enough to pull himself back together into the person he once was.

And when they were alone together, Tin allowed himself to seek comfort in Can’s warmth and smell. It was like Tin was recharging himself, trying to find the energy to protect himself and yet let people in again.

Can allowed it, encouraged it, whispered sweet endearments in Tin’s ears during those times, rubbed Tin’s back, and dried his tears if any fell.

These moments of weakness were the greatest gift that Can could receive from Tin. They were proof of just how far Tin had come, and how hard he was trying.

And Can swore he’d damn any person who would hurt Tin ever again.

But first he needed a bigger pot to burn all the salt and chili for cursing Tul.
